Dr. Sandra Kang earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Illinois. She then completed her fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. In 2018, she won the American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement Award.
Dr. Kang was drawn to the field of oncology due to the complexity of diagnosing and treating cancer, as well as the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of other people. Her philosophy of care of patient-centered treatment uses skills and knowledge in collaboration with each patient’s personal goals and needs. She is dedicated to providing the best quality of care by staying up-to-date on research and advancements, empowering patients with information to make well-informed decisions, and providing compassionate support.
Dr. Kang enjoys hiking, baking, and tennis in her spare time.
